Awhile ago I went on a folk metal binge, and Cernunnos was definitely one of the ones I listened to a lot. So I'm super excited that I got to interview them! If you love folk metal, this band is an absolute must! Make sure you check them out!
Q: Tell the readers who you are and what you do
A: Hello there! I'm Pablo Schivo and i do vocals, irish bouzouki and hurdy gurdy in Cernunnos.
Q: What is your favorite road snack?
A: I think they are a couple of "must" but my favourite is sandwich crumbs.
Q: If you were a salad what dressing would it have?
A: Well, i think it would have blue cheese, walnuts, letuce, spicy sauce, tomato and chicken.
Q: Tell a story about a song that had a big impact on you when you were growing up.
A: I remember one specific song from the spanish band "Mägo de oz" which is "Desde mi cielo" (From my heaven, in english) that gave me chills the first time listened to it, because at that time i had lost my grandfather. I still have chills when the first chords start...
Q: How did you develop your sound?
A: Gathering knowledge, testing old a new stuff, also i've studied Musical Production which is great for having a north in this particular signature, but mostly from listening to bands i really like.
Q: Who is your dream collab?
A: Neil Peart, Paul Gilbert, Victor Wooten and Rob Halford.
Q: If you couldn’t do what you do, what would you do?
A: I would definetely do something acoustic, a duo maybe with male and female vocals.
Q: What is your motivation?
A: Music, it always was. It's the most pure, deep and perfect form of art to me.
Q: Have you had any weird fan interactions?
A: A couple of years ago a fan approached us screaming "PLEASE SIGN ME THE CD, YOU ARE AMAZING" and we hadn't even been able to change clothes. We had to stop what we were doing and sign that CD. It was weird but amazing for us.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: Yes, i have to cat beasts, Morpheo and Michigan.
Q: Where can people follow you?
A: You can follow us on Instagram (cernunnosofficial), Facebook (CernunnosArg), Spotify (Cernunnos), Youtube (CernunnosArg and DarkTunes), TikTok (CernunnosArg) and a bunch of streaming platforms!
Q: What do you want to say to your fans?
A: We want to say thank you for your kindness, screams, words, support and all that stuff that makes us better people and keeps us making more music! Keep Folking!
